Employee Manual Program

Get it out of your brain and onto paper where it belongs. Getting a great coworking space up and running is one thing; learning how to let go and delegate to others consistently and reliably is another matter altogether.

Never fear! We've got your back. With our Employee Manual Program, we'll combine our existing templates and processes with information we get from you on how you do things to produce simple and clear procedures for your team to use.

We'll start with an in-depth interview, which may span a few hours, in which we'll go over as many aspects of how the business currently works. We'll document undocumented procedures, identify which areas are easy or hard to delegate, and distill the results into a living document.

1. THE INTERVIEW

In the first phase, we'll gather all possible information from multiple sources:

  • A long phone call - we'll ask you lots of questions, and write down all the answers.
  • A data download - share with us all of your documents.
  • A brain dump - share notes, scribbles, doodles, whiteboards, and any other visual concepts that can help us better understand what's in your head.

2. DEVELOP THE DOC

This part's all on us! We'll compile all of the information and turn it into a comprehensive manual.

We'll also produce a document identifying the areas that are currently difficult to delegate, with recommendations on how to address them.

Coworking Community Revitalization Program

Answers the questions:

  • How do I attract more members and increase retention?
  • How do I build great community without burning out?
  • How do I figure out where I need to improve to get to the next level?

How's your community really doing? We use this to kick off our consulting gigs with existing communities to help both our clients and ourselves get a really good snapshot of where the community is at, and exactly how we can help.

Unto itself, this process can be extremely valuable, as you come away with a clear blueprint for the small and large steps you can take to steer your community in a better direction.

Phase 1: Evaluation

We'll challenge you to ask yourself how well you know your members and how well they know each other, and so much more. We'll start with an in-depth online survey, then follow up with a meeting to dive deeper. What the evaluation covers:

  • Where do you feel things are going well?
  • Where do you feel things are not going well?
  • What are your goals for the short term and long term?
  • What kinds of people are in your community currently?
  • How's the business doing?
  • How smoothly are operations going?
  • How are you doing with hiring and managing staff?
  • What success metrics do you have?

...and so much more.

Phase 2: Analysis

Equipped with the results of the Community Health Evaluation, we'll identify the best opportunities to make improvements to culture and operations. We'll look at simple tactical shifts that will be highly impactful yet easy to implement, while also charting out longer-term goals to work towards over time.

We'll analyze your evaluation and develop recommendations for next steps you can take. We'll prioritize our recommendations by what will be most impactful.

Phase 3: Action!

When it's all said and done, you should be well on your way to having a community that does a better job of attracting and keeping members, in a way that's more efficient and even more fun.

The Coworking Space Signage Kit

So much effort gets duplicated creating resources that have already been made! We'll save you the trouble of having to start from scratch. If you're already up and running, these resources will help you fill in the blanks and make it easier to delegate to others. The toolkit includes:

A sign encouraging reviews on social media platforms. The sign can be easily printed and placed in visible places to increase the chances members and visitors will write reviews and share with their friends.

Coworking Visa Program decal designs to be mounted in visible places (ideally on public-facing windows and doors), letting people know about the program and the space's participation.
