William is an investor at Raptor Ventures. He focuses on seed and early stage investments in consumer internet and digital media, e-commerce, and SaaS.

Previously, William was Product Manager of Analytics at drop.io (acquired by Facebook), and was Mobile Product Lead and Interaction Designer at Hot Potato (acquired by Facebook).

Prior to that, he was an Analyst at RRE Ventures, where he assisted in sourcing and diligence for the firm’s investments in early stage consumer internet, digital media, and location-based services. William began his career at Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, the strategic venture arm of Bertelsmann.

William holds a BSE in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University. In his spare time, he likes to make ice cream from scratch.

Chris Haseman of Tumblr
Chris has been writing mobile software in various forms since 2003. He was involved in several large-scale Brew projects, from MMS messaging to Major League Baseball. More recently, he was an early Android engineer behind the doubleTwist media player and is now the lead Android developer for Tumblr. He’s just published “Creating Android Applications.” with PeachPit Press.

The NY-based Tumblr is a blogging platform that hosts more than 65 million blogs. Their recent fundraising round valued the company at $800 million.

Michael Semegran & Arie Abecassis of AppStori
Michael Semegran is co-founder of AppStori, a curated, online platform that enables mobile app developers to generate crowd-based support for their projects by providing them with a variety of tools and services. He has spent the last 15 years leading product and technology for premier data products in both the financial services and tech industries. Michael also advises early stage tech startups and loves to converse about all types of ideas.

Arie Abecassis is co-founder of the recently launched AppStori and a Venture Partner at DreamIt Ventures. He’s been actively involved in the New York tech community as an entrepreneur and investor, and currently sits on the boards of SeatGeek, Adaptly and BiznessApps. He has written about mobile and entrepreneurship for Mashable, VentureBeat and ReadWriteWeb.

Ari Fuchs of Aviary
Aviary’s mission is to democratize and power the world’s creativity. To meet this goal, they’ve built a Photo Editing Platform for both mobile and web. They have SDKs for iOS, Android, Windows Phone 7, and a JavaScript API for the web that’s also compatible on mobile tablets as well as Blackberry phones. Aviary allows any developer to instantly inject a polished photo editor inside their product.

Ari is Lead API Engineer and Developer Evangelist at Aviary. He has spent the last 3 years building out Aviary’s internal and external facing APIs and is now working with partners to bring Aviary’s tools to the masses.
